Esquire was immediately all-in for 007, stylish, sophisticated, lethal. In 1965, nearly six months before the New York release of Thunderball, the fourth Bond movie in as many years, Esquire devoted twelve pages to the franchise. The cover was designed by George Lois and photographed by Esquire favorite Galfas, several outtakes were used in the movie’s publicity campaign.
