December 1966Photograph By Kevin Lawrenson
Helen Lawrenson, Esquire’s foremost celebrity profiler, was in her late fifties when she profiled a young Michael Caine in 1966, she loved him and wrote an admiring story. Lawrenson brought along her teenage son, Kevin, a budding photographer, who snapped this picture, which was not only good enough to print but is a perfect representation of the Esquire look of the ’60s.
