When Esquire was granted exclusive access to the creative team behind Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, Tarantino, DiCaprio, and Pitt, the magazine approached them with the idea of a cover shoot paying homage to the late-’60s covers by Carl Fischer. It was an offer a pop-culture aficionado like Tarantino couldn’t refuse. The movie was an enormous hit.
